Gary and Rons Kitchens is, and always has been, a family-owned and operated business since 1981. They were a two-man partnership at the beginning – two brothers-in-law who shared the same interests and passion for woodworking.
With Gary’s creative instincts and Ron’s business acumen, they soon became the talk of the town – business flourished and their workshop expanded to meet demand. The partnership unfortunately ended in the late ’90s as Gary had to bow out for health concerns. Ron is now the sole proprietor and currently employs 7 staff in addition to himself and his wife, Joanna.
Gary and Rons Kitchens occupies a large showroom that showcases their work and the products they supply. Right next door is the production facility that houses all their equipment and the tools used on a daily basis to create their beautiful cabinetry. In June 2008 they purchased a CNC milling machine, a case clamp system in 2009 and a dowel insertion machine in 2010. These three machines have revolutionized the way the shop works and raised the quality of their work to unprecedented heights!
Cari Schauer / Guitar / Vocals
Cari Schauer played the circuit throughout Ontario in 80’s as a solo artist and later with Cari & Company. Her passion has, and always will be, the Country Rock Genre- which really means all styles. In the 90’s her music career went to new heights as she toured throughout Scandinavia and won numerous vocalist awards – including an impressive win as the Scandinavian Entertainer of the Year Award in Stockholm. Many theaters, clubs and festivals later, Cari is back in the Ottawa Valley and a new beginning is in the making * The Cari-On Band *….
Roch Quesnel / Drummer / Vocals
Roch has played drums in bands throughout the Ottawa Valley for 35 years. He’s played many different styles from Country to Rock and in between. Roch also adds vocals to any band he’s been involved with.
Larry Wayne Church / Lead Guitar/ Vocals
For 30 plus years Larry has carried on a love affair with R&B, blues and blues-fueled rock and roll. Playing with such bands as Still Dangerous, Rockerfellas, Shameless Blues, Wicked Grin, Johnny Vegas (formerly “Night Wings”) and many other local and internationally celebrated performers. Larry has appeared at Cisco Bluesfest, Calabogie Blues and Rib Fest plus most of the live music clubs in the Ottawa and the Valley area.
Derek Tolhurst Bass/ Vocals
Started playing career on the circuit in London England during the fabulous 60s (Del-Fi’s- Fairlanes- Impacts) Moved to Ottawa Canada late 67 Played in the Frank Grammon Orchestra plus many pick up gigs with travelling blues players. Co writer and performer with the Canadian Rock Opera Company Maple Ridge (Louis Riel) that Toured Quebec and Ontario in the early seventies. Moved to the Valley to teach High School 1976. Worked with Sundance for almost six years ( Derek may have played at your wedding). Lately worked with the Willet Brothers Band, Fran Band and Blue Dominoes.
